Contact: Joe Edwards GREENSPOINT BUSINESS CENTER SET TO BEGIN Paducah, Kentucky, 8/22/2007 - After some unseasonably heavy rain in the Houston area Harper Construction is rolling into town. Harper Construction will be handling all of the concrete paving as a subcontractor for KBD Construction Services, Inc. This consists of 2 main boulevards running through the project totaling over 38,000 square yards of 7 & 8 inch concrete. Also included in this 1.4 million dollar contract are 7,800 square yards of 6 ft sidewalk. Logistically speaking this project is the perfect candidate to test the waters in Houston. It is merely a stone’s throw from our local office and is serviceable by 2 of our sister company, Frontier Materials, batch plants. All of these factors contributed to the successful bid of this project. Leading the charge on this project is Gene Aldridge. Gene’s 18 year tenure with Harper Construction has established him as one of our premier superintendents. The operations department will be relying heavily on Gene’s experience and expertise with similar projects requiring such intensive coordination. It is because of his leadership and success that we have asked him to get us off on the right foot in new territory.
